Learning

"Education is the most powerful weapon which   you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela
What is the Curriculum we follow?

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum is a UK based Curriculum designed for children from 3-5 years. The curriculum focuses on seven areas of learning, including communication and language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional development. It emphasizes play-based learning, allowing children to explore and learn in a supportive environment.

Nursery Class

Your child will be in the Nursery class if they have already turned 3 years old before 31st August 2025.

For the Nursery class we provide a nurturing environment where young children can explore, play, and develop social and cognitive skills, laying a strong foundation for their future learning. Activities are designed to foster independence and develop key skills for further learning.

Reception Class

Your child will be in the Reception Class if they have turned 4 years old before 31st August 2025. The Reception class is more structured and  provides a range of activities designed to meet social, emotional, and academic development of this age group. Children participate in a Montessori- style of learning; allowing them to explore and interact with their environment. Activities may include numeracy and literacy exercises, storytelling, arts and crafts, as well as outdoor play to enhance their physical skills. The focus is on creating a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere where children can learn through exploration and creativity.

A mixed class of Nursery and Reception students offers numerous benefits that enhance early childhood education. This inclusive environment encourages younger children to learn from their older peers, fostering social skills and collaboration. Older students gain leadership experience and the opportunity to reinforce their own learning by others. Additionally, mixed-age classes promote a sense of community, where children develop empathy respect for one another, creating a supportive atmosphere that enhances overall development.
